Things we talked about today…
Tagged Theatre Company came in to chat to us today about their new show Caption This which debuts at Big Yorkshire Youth Festival this weekend! The show explores the pros and cons of social media and the influence it has on young people, incorporating real stories, comedy and pop culture it is sure to start a conversation! The Big Yorkshire Youth Festival runs this weekends at the Theatre Royal, it is for 7-19 year olds and is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved with as many workshops, performances and fun theatre that they can! A day ticket is £20 and a weekend £38, you can buy these from the Theatre Royal Box Office.
Ben and Laura also had a chat with the lovely cast of The Tempest from Shakespeare’s Rose today, they gave us a 10 second low down of the show and told us how fantastic it is to perform in such a brilliant space. They also said that Ben and Laura could go backstage for a challenge AND be in one of the shows!! Watch this space Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks… Ben and Laura are on their way to acting fame.
Morrisons in Acomb has become our newest collection point for Tonne of Tins! Thank you to Community Champion Natalie and all of her team at the store, there will be a trolley at the exit with the Tonne of Tins logo for you to donate there! This news comes shortly after the fantastic announcement that we hit a TONNE of tins last night! But we are going to keep going to see just how much we can get by the end of August – it really does make a massive difference so THANK YOU!
