Castle Howard Proms 16/08/14

What an amazing night! I was lucky enough this year to be the host of the fantastic Castle Howard Proms Spectacular.
The event began with a performance by Celeste – five girls with amazing voices. Gary Williams was on next with a brilliant performance of swing jazz and music from the rat pack era.
The main event was of course the English National Orchestra playing everyone's favourite Proms classics, all conducted by Jae Alexander who did a brilliant job of not only leading the orchestra, but entertaining the audience. All in all, it was an amazing night of rousing music, lots of flag-waving and patriotism, and although the weather was a little chilly, it did stay dry - plus nothing warms you up like a good sing-song!
