Who remembers Roamer Robots?!

Things we talked about today…
A couple in the US have been in the news today as they called the emergency services in fear they were being burgled, but it turned out to be their new robot hoover! Laura mentioned that the robot hoovers remind her of the Valiant Roamer Robots you used to have at school. But, what were they actually for, what did they teach us?! Were they just a treat? These questions need answering on our Facebook page…
One couple in Leeds have put out an ad for a Nanny for their daughter, who is 18, has a driver and needs a Nanny to cook and clean for her whilst she is at University? We can’t decide if she’s going to be the coolest person at Uni, or if the Nanny will get in the way of the housemates… come on though, it’s easy to stick smiley faces in the oven and fill up a Pot Noodle with water isn’t it?

Resolutions
30th December 2019
Things we talked about today…
Over the weekend a football team decided to give up at half-time as they were 8 goals down and just left! Come on people, play till’ the end! Even Laura’s football team kept playing until the end at 12nill down!
It’s New Year’s Eve tomorrow and the top list of resolutions have been revealed, of course this most popular is to lose weight and the other is to quit social media! After a small debate, Laura and Michael realised they couldn’t quit social media, so Laura is just going to learn how to play the piano instead in 2020!
Finally, a tip for you all going out for New Years Eve, Asparagus is the new hangover cure! Make sure you eat some before you start drinking and apparently you’ll be right as rain.

Apparently over 1 billion pounds was spent actually ON Christmas Day this year – why were you shopping?! If you had any free time on Christmas Day it should’ve been spent sleeping or eating…
It was the World Pie Eating Championships this week and the winner, Ian, ate a whole pie in 34 seconds. Incredible Scenes!
The top TV and Film inspired Baby Names of 2019 have been revealed, at the top of the list we have Elizabeth from The Crown! The list also featured Khaleesi and Nala.

It's Christmas Eve Eve and Tim is in for Ben today, he was telling Laura that today is ‘Manic Monday’ where everyone realises they’ve forgotten one thing for the Christmas Festivities and have to run out and get it! Poor Tim is braving his full Christmas food shop today, good luck!
Laura went home at the weekend to see her family for Christmas and discovered her dog may be pregnant! Her mum thinks it’s a phantom pregnancy but was told the best way to check was to milk the dog?! We think someone was winding her up…

Our Christmas Roadshow is visiting the final stops today, Pickering Primary and Hempland today! We have been on the road all week visiting two schools a day with Energi Trampoline Park! The Minster Monster, Enzo and Mary Poppins will all be joining Laura and occasional special guest the TC to treat your school to some festive fun! Roast Potatoes have been voted the best Christmas Dinner item ahead of Pigs in Blankets and Yorkshire Puds! Laura agrees, but Ben says you can’t beat a Pig in a Blanket.. what do you think?

Jingle Bells!

Today is officially the day we start to feel Christmassy and Laura has definitely got the memo, turning up to the studio with jingle bells on her jumper! Whilst it was annoying that they made a sound every time she moved, it worked out for Heidi as she won tickets to the Grand Opera House Panto by correctly guessing that Laura was playing jingle bells on her jumper!

Eat the Pie, Save the Foil!

Things we talked about today…
Today Laura and Ben spoke to Karen from Foil for Snappy about the Eat the Pie, Save the Foil! Scheme. If every person in York saved just one Mince Pie case and donated it to the cause, that would be around 140kg of Aluminum that could be diverted from Landfill and sold to raise money for the fantastic cause that is Snappy.
