Please welcome Roxanne Pallett!

Ben's been on his own on the Breakfast Show for too long, so we're excited to announce that from Monday 26th February 2018, Roxanne Pallett will be joining him to co-host the show.
Roxy's best known of course for playing Jo Sugden in Emmerdale, but you may well have also seen her in Waterloo Road, Casualty, Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes, or maybe on stage in The Wedding Singer or The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Roxy, who lives in Thirsk, says: “Russell Grant told me 2018 would bring great change and he was right. I fell in love with a Yorkshire lad and landed my dream job in radio with Minster FM who are already like a family to me, so the new year is looking very good so far!
“My new year’s wish for 2018 was to transcend from acting into broadcasting and it’s now come true. I had my sights set firmly on radio and Minster FM was the perfect fit for me as I absolutely love Yorkshire. The magic of going live in the studio each morning reaching thousands of listeners is so thrilling and will be an exciting new chapter for me. The early mornings are going to be tricky though! I may have to drive to work in my pyjamas on some mornings as I’m known for sleeping through my alarm, so hosting a breakfast show will likely be the challenge of my career. Coffee and chocolate will be essential!
“I can’t wait to start working with Ben. He’s a film geek like me so we instantly clicked. I think I may corrupt him with my junk food diet and outrageous stories though. It will be awesome to have a partner in crime in the studio, he’s a dream co-host. I’m so honoured to be waking North Yorkshire up and looking forward to sharing my mornings with everyone on the air.”
