Thompsons has been around 18 years, owned by John and Angela Thompson, perfectly ran by Joanne and Karen Thompson, working closely along side Matthew and Helen Thompson in the kitchen, we have the best team we could wish for to ensure best products, best quality and best service.. if you have visited I'm sure you will agree that our staff are awesome!

We are a small yet very busy, popular establishment, and pride ourselves in serving up the best of the best fish and chips around without cutting corners!

We as always thank our customers for all your loyal support, without you all we wouldn't be were we are today!!

About Them

We are a small independent family business who operates two fish and chip shops here in York, we first opened our Tadcaster road shop 9 years ago and after continued success and growth we opened our hull road shop 2 years ago we employ 12 members of staff and without their passion for the work they do we wouldn't be where we are today.

Why Should They Win?

Through continued support and loyalty from our customers we have been lucky enough to be able to put back into our local community whilst supporting numerous charities. Here's what we do:

A traditional fish and chip shop that has been serving the people of Selby and the surrounding area for over 35 years. We are a family run business and have core values of quality food and outstanding customer service.

We have been named in the top 10 UK fish and chip shops in the national fish and chip awards for several years running.

In the event of a tie, all tied businesses will share the accolade or move forward to the next round of voting.
