Guido Fawkes was born on this very spot in 1570 in the shadow of York minister and was baptised in St. Michael Le Belfrey just across the street. 

Centuries have passed, but this historical building is so well preserved you could be forgiven for thinking it happened just yesterday.

Local real ales and skill-fully prepared AA Rosette food that utilises fresh, local produce and is served in a candlelit restaurant which combines effectively with this heritage to create perhaps the most characterful and iconic city centre inn, from which you, can embrace York's illustrious history.

The Park Restaurant serves a Tasting Menu of modern British food with pin point accuracy of flavour and texture as well as a stunning Four-Course Menu.

Contemporarily and imaginatively cooked from fresh, local produce in our three AA Rosette kitchen and served to you by knowledgeable, professional staff who warmly welcome you in to a relaxed dining atmosphere in our understatedly-coloured conservatory.

The Park Restaurant by Adam Jackson is one of the best restaurants in York. It helps to put the city on the culinary map. With Adam Jackson at the forefront, the menu is hard to beat in terms of culinary experience. The food is up there with any Michelin starred restaurant and the wine pairings can't be beaten. 

Everything we do is to evolve the journey that food takes you on. New skills and knowledge is constantly developed, with our chefs hungry to make the menu better and better. We live and breathe food and that's what we feel it takes to be the best restaurant in York.

About Them

As you all know we are famous  for our fish and chips. 

Over the last 5 years we have worked so hard on our excellent menu, working on traditional food for our traditional restaurant! 

We aren't just about the fish and chips, be serve a very varied menu catering for all dietary needs, including gluten free and vegan (with pride).

From our tower burgers, gammons and steaks to lasagnes and pies.. served with all the trimmings.. with mushy peas if you can't resist them!! 

We spend hours and hours preparing perfect food for everyone, with the  very best locally sourced products we can buy!

It would be really amazing to win this one, yes we do specialise in fish and chips, but we are that amazing restaurant on the A64 that doesn't just sell fish and chips!! 

No 10 Cafe Bar & Bistro

About Them

We are a small family run Cafe Bar & Bistro In Stamford Bridge,  with a friendly environment we serve coffee and cakes, light lunches or meals from our main menu or specials board, the bar serves a great range of Cocktails as well as Beers, Wines, Gins and Spirits.

We pride ourselves on cooking fantastic food made from fresh local produce. Our chefs prepare our mouth watering dishes using fresh ingredients from scratch, and if the weather permits you can enjoy the large decked walled garden for al fresco dining. 

We will soon be celebrating being 2 years old.

We have and have had some wonderful customers since we opened, we feel we have have contributed to the local community by not only creating a variety of jobs but also offering a place to come where you can simply have a coffee and read a book or come and celebrate a birthday party.  We provide something different to what is already on offer in the local community and the continuing support of customers to help us win would be amazing.

Proudly flying the Yorkshire Flag has always been our aim, since opening our doors in 2014. Bringing together the counties finest food produce we could find and pairing it with local real ales, lagers, spirits (especially our famous Gin collection) and wines from around Great Britain.

Our little independent restaurant began life with the focus very much on our Steaks and this certainly hasn't changed. We love our fantastic array of menu steaks and an ever-changing range of special cuts, breeds & ages of beef. We are however equally obsessed with our other seasonally inspired plates of food featured on our A la Carte Menu, focussing more on locally caught fish, & unique vegetarian dishes – creating an accessible dining experience for all. 

We have worked hard to cultivate a Home from Home atmosphere for our guests to really relax in. An environment they feel is their own. Our decor has been called quirky if not a little risque in our bar and Private Dining Room (AKA The Padded Cell) - but at the heart of everything we do is offering every guest superb food and drink from Yorkshire's finest suppliers, all served with knowledge yet warm & approachable hospitality.

Our restaurant & team to deserve to win as we believe we have taken the time & care to surround ourselves, with the best that Yorkshire has to offer: produce & just as importantly people. 

We have always been proud to support Yorkshire & use suppliers as close to home as possible. We believe that what we take out of Yorkshire, we should put back in, and that food is at its best when it's local & treated with care. 

By using amazing local suppliers such as Fowlers Fish, Farmison & Co, Class One & Love Cheese we have allowed our kitchen brigade the opportunity to work with truly delicious, fresh food that our front of house team is equally passionate about presenting to our guests. The entire staff have an immense amount of ownership which we believe sets us apart. This is demonstrated every day, through their extreme high standards in service & guiding our guests through a great experience of superb food, drink & atmosphere rather than just a meal.
