York Sport comprises two sites based on the University of York campuses; York Sport Village and York Sport Centre, each with a distinctive feel but sharing a commitment to inspiring activity within the community.

Our first-class facilities are open to everyone and are enjoyed by thousands every year. We have a huge variety of sports, health and fitness facilities and programmes on offer year-round including gym, cycling, swimming, racquet and fitness facilities as well as artificial pitches and an array of popular exercise classes so you're sure to find something to suit your fitness, sporting and wellbeing needs at York Sport.

We even have a velodrome... we are very much more than just a gym!

With two conveniently located sites, each featuring an impressive range of indoor and outdoor facilities, York Sport has something for everyone whatever your age or ability. Open to the whole community we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and inclusive environment.  

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to help, whatever your goals. We work with lots of local community organisations to provide sport and wellbeing opportunities, as well as helping local charity fundraising efforts, and supporting talented athletes in the area to achieve their performance goals.  

We also promote national campaigns such as This Girl Can, featuring York Sport members in our very own York Girls Can campaign!

Energi Trampoline Park York

About Them

It's been over 3 years since 2 local York lads opened the doors to Energi Trampoline Park, a 24,000 sqm2 indoor leisure facility based on York Business Park, Poppleton.

Energi Trampoline Park offers 100 interconnected trampolines as well as a Dodgeball Area, Foam Pit, Air Bag, Assault Course and a 5*Cafe located on a mezzanine floor providing the perfect vantage point.

During this time, we have developed and maintained a 60+ work force ranging from Full Time & Part Time Positions. We have also attracted a varied and diverse customer base covering a wide range of demographics from 2 years of age all the way to individuals in their 80's.

Our main focus is families and providing them with a safe, clean and enjoyable experience that they can all revel in.

Why Should They Win?

In short there's NO YOU in this category. We the Energi Family deserve to be shortlisted because without that ethos/mind set there would be no Energi Trampoline Park. Energi Trampoline Park was a labour of love from 2 local lads from York and everyone who signed up for this rollercoaster of a journey. So to be shortlisted is a Huge Thank You to them and their efforts.

This is the only venue in York that you can visit where the whole family from 2yrs upwards can literally bounce off the walls with a huge smile on all their faces, whilst at the same time without realising doing some very important exercise.

In just over 3 years we have successfully created a Family Friendly Experience in York from the ground up with very little help from the outside but copious amounts of blood, sweat and tears!!

Better Energise Leisure Centre

About Them

With a great gym, 25 metre main pool, fitness classes, sports hall, climbing wall, events facilities‚ swimming lessons, children's parties and cafe, there is something for everyone at Energise.

Learn to swim with our Better Swim School programme or enrol on a course. Play a game of hockey, tennis or football or enjoy a netball match with like-minded people. Relax with a drink, snack or meal in our cafe after your own workout or while the little ones learn and play.
